Columbous Day

I hope everyone had a good week last week. We left for Disneyland at 4:30am on Tuesday morning and got back last night around 5 or 6pm. We had a blast, walked our asses off, but we are so happy to be home.

I picked up the Pooch last night and we are very excited to have her home. We missed her cute little face and her crazy wiggle butt.

I took tons of pictures which I will need to get off my new camera (it's blue!) and upload to the computer.

I also have an 8-10 page paper due tonight that I haven't touched in about 2 weeks (oops) that I need to get finished.

Steven and I are going to the gym in about an hour for a run in our new shoes. We actually have the exact same shoes, bought 1 week apart. So comfy and needed after the amount of miles logged last week in my old ones.

I will write a real update later this week once we get back into the swing of things.

Happy Columbus Day Y'all!

Puppy Blues

Sigh, it has been a long day. I woke up around 9am. Thank God for the blanket we put over Bella's crate that allows her to sleep deeply later than 6am. Steven and I ran some errands and grabbed lunch. Then I had to prep the puppy (and her stuff) to go to a friend's house for a week. It was pretty sad when I had to drop her off. Of course, she was too busy playing with Rio to even notice that I was gone, and that's a good thing I guess.

Anyways. We leave for Disneyland in just over a day. I'm so excited but ready for it to just be here already. We have been planning this trip for at least a year now. It's tiring. We leave Tuesday morning and drive down. We are staying at the super nice Grand Californian because we all decided that if we splurged on anything, we wanted to be super comfy when we slept each night.

I have been doing laundry for the better part of the day and there is finally an end in sight. All the laundry I've done today is folded up waiting to be put away or packed. Sadly, there is still a ton of clothes in our room in laundry baskets (and half on the floor by my dresser) that need to be folded and put away. Or just rewashed. Oh well. Baby steps.

I also rented a Rug Doctor from the store to clean up a couple of stains in our light blue carpet. A couple of the stains were from Steven spilling fruit punch or coffee and a couple were from when Bella was a baby. They were clean, just discolored. I feel so much cleaner now :]

All we have left to do is pack for our trip and entertain our friends tomorrow. They are coming down to stay with us so we can get up early Tuesday and all 4 head down to Disneyland! Thankfully, I closed out my last Scentsy party of September tonight. I have a party starting tomorrow but I already have stuff done for that one.

Anyways, I am waiting for the Man to get home from his run. He is trying out his new shoes (jealous!) and then hopefully we can go to bed. OH and I am praying that he wakes up tomorrow without the headache migraine he has had since waking up on Friday. Gah!

Night Y'all.

Dog Park Days

Happy Saturday Y'all.

This morning I woke up and took Bella to the dog park. I swear she knows when it's Saturday and will wait by the door for me to put on her collar and grab her leash. Then she proceeds to spin in circles.Yes, circles. Some dogs jump when excited, others bark. Mine, she spins in circles. Pretty cute actually.

Today's visit went much better than last weeks. Her sister Leia was there as was the super cute Boxer, Cisco. She played for two hours before we decided to take off and come home to Steven.

So other than the dog park, I didn't do too much today. I got the oil changed in the Mazda and got it washed too. It looks so snazzy. Oh yeah and I hit up Marshall's and got 3 t-shirts and 3 tank tops. Pretty excited about that.

So totally random... Does anyone else watch, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders show in CMT? I am addicted. I seriously wish I had the body and moves that these girls have. If I did, I'd totally try out haha.

Plus, while I'm watching DCC I feel so guilty for not working out. I think to myself, "Tomorrow morning I'm going to go to the gym and workout". It doesn't usually happen and I make myself feel better by saying, "I've got a lot of stuff to do today, gotta get ready for Disney (or work, grocery shopping, etc.)".

It will be a priority when we get back from Disney though. I will have a PT test about 4 months out and Steven will be training for his AFSA- Half-Sa. I also have to get back on my diet. Lord knows I need to find some damn energy, especially since I am some type of medical mystery to the doctors. 20+ vials of blood taken over the past 2 years and still they have no idea why I am so dead tired all the time.

Random blog, I know. Welcome to my life :]

Where Is Fall?

So the first day of Fall was almost a week ago and I have seen zero change in the weather around here. Come on Mother Nature, let the heat go and embrace the cooler temperatures. I am seriously dying over here. This 90+ degree heat is insane and it has been this way for a solid 5 or 6 months.

I am so ready for the cooler temperatures, being able to wear a hoodie outside, and eat soup without sweating. Plus I just love all the cinnamon-y smells and mashed potatoes! Haha.

I wish I could say that I am looking forward to cute sweaters, scarves, boots, etc. but lets face it, I have no style. I don't know how to walk in heels (and probably own maybe one pair), don't own any boots, don't know how to do my hair other than straighten it or put it up. To put it simply, I'm a serious fashion disaster.

For the past 7 years, every single day I wake up and put on a uniform of some type. My hair is in a bun and my nails are unpainted (SO sad). When I am not at work, I'm in jeans or shorts, a tank top or t-shirt, and flip flops. Only sometimes do I actually wear shoes. It pretty much has to be raining really bad.

Makeup and hair, yeah I'm a failure there too. My mom has always had short hair and very conservative makeup. I don't have any sisters and no female cousins that I'm close to. I am the epitome of a tomboy.

What I wouldn't give to have some awesome girlfriends to dress me and teach me the ways of hair and makeup. Anyone want to come hang out and teach me your feminine ways? Haha.

Anyways... I am ready for Fall! Maybe not for the normal ways that most would think, but I just need the heat to go away already!

It's A Jungle Out There

Since we are going on vacation next week, this week we are trying to tackle some stuff around the house that has been on the to-do list for awhile.

Today was our jungle of a backyard. We normally are very good about keeping up with mowing the lawn, trimming bushes, trimming hacking the rose bushes and other flowers. Well the past month or so we have done none of the above, leaving us with 2 feet high grass in some areas, rose bushes that were taller than Steven (6'1"), and just an overall mess.

You may ask why the sudden rush to get it all knocked out when we'll be gone for a week and not have to worry about it? Well our landlords are a bit weird and shady. They were spotted last month slow rolling by the house while we were at work taking pictures and looking around the outside. Kind of weird if you ask me. We do not put it past them (or one of our elderly neighbors) to peek over fences, through the garage door, and any other open space to see how everything looks.

Creepy, I know.

So I made Steven get up super early this morning and help me tackle the yard. We are nearly done, just have a bit of weed eating left to do and then spray off the patio. I wish I would have taken a picture of the grass pre lawn mowing to show Y'all just how bad it was.

Tomorrow we'll finish up out back and then do a couple of things to the front yard, turn on the sprinkler system, and not worry about those whack jobs for a week!

Quick yard work question... am I the only one who mows the lawn in flip flops, shorts, tank top, and sunglasses? Supposedly it is incredibly dangerous to mow in flip flops, but I stand firm that you have to be a total idiot to hurt yourself. It's not like we are mowing hills or anything.

So, how do you mow your lawn?

The Love-Bomb Life is here!

In my short 26 years, I’m pretty sure I’ve had about 6 different blogs. I love the idea of blogging. Having a place to get my thoughts out and a place for family and friends to keep up with the happenings of life.
I figured that since Steven and I are embarking on some fun, new, adventures in our life together that a new blog would be a great way to keep track of life and keep family in the loop.
So that is how The Love-Bomb Life came to life.
How did I come up with the name of our new blog? It’s pretty easy really. One Young Love + Lots of Bombs = Our Crazy Life
Still not make total sense to you? Check out the “About Us” section for a little look into the making of The Love-Bomb Life!
